Information we collect

• Account information — such as email address, display name, and authentication identifiers from our sign-in provider (Clerk).
• Content you create — stories, characters, chats, adventures, images you upload, and related preferences.
• Usage and device data — approximate logs of product usage, IP address, browser type, and similar technical data needed to run and secure the Service.
• Billing data — subscription status and related records. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Generate AI responses and images you request
• Process subscriptions and prevent abuse or fraud
• Review content — including private stories and chats — to enforce our Terms and Content Policy, investigate reports, and comply with legal obligations
• Communicate about the Service, security, and policy updates
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms and Content Policy

AI providers

To generate text and images, we send relevant prompts and context to third-party AI providers. Do not submit information you are not comfortable sharing with those processors. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and basic product functionality. Our auth provider may set its own cookies as part of signing in.

Sharing

We share information with service providers that help us operate Animar (hosting, authentication, payments, AI inference, analytics) under appropriate contractual safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Animar and our users.

Data retention

We retain account and content data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, disputes, security, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated content by contacting us.

Your choices

You can update profile information in Settings, manage cookies through your browser, and request access or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.

Children

Animar is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Users 13–17 may use the Service with parental consent where required by law. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Service, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
